This is a different market today with buyers looking online to consider homes they want to view. Do you really think the buyer cares who the listing agent is? Do you fully understand why so called “TOP PRODUCERS” from "Big Box Brokers" have to charge 4...5...6...or even 7% commissions? It’s because they have very little chance of selling your property on their own. First, you the seller are paying a premium commission just for a brand name. Secondly, they require more money simply because of the low odds they will sell the property in house. They may have to split the commissions up 4 ways! So what makes an agent a “TOP PRODUCER”? It's getting YOU THE SELLER SOLD ON LISTING WITH THEM FOR THE HIGHEST FEE POSSIBLE AT THE LOWEST LISTING PRICE POSSIBLE.... NOT actually selling the property themselves... that's secondary! For real estate brokers it's all about inventory and getting your listing. The vast majority of sales are not made by the listing agent they come from cooperating brokers through MLS. Think about what I'm saying very carefully. You could be throwing away thousands for nothing more than a great sales pitch from a fancy listing agent. Don't waste your money.
